For those who'll be attending the annual convention of the Modern
Language Association in Washington, DC, in just two short weeks, please
remember to show your support of Dutch Studies by attending our panel,
from 1:45-3:00 p.m., Friday, 29 December, in the Edison Room at the
Washington Hilton, featuring:
- Andrew Fleck, UCLA, "Human Interest and State Interest: The
Dutch in Aphra Behn's Oroonoko"
- Jonathan Gill, Columbia U., "Between God and the Company: Blacks
and Jews in Nieuw Amsterdam"
- Yasco Horsman, Yale U., "Rereading Anton de Kom's Wij Slaven van
Suriname"
