Symposium 'Second Language Development: Grammar and Processing'This symposium on second language grammars and processing brings together researchers from the Netherlands and abroad who study L2 development and L2 processing using a variety of experimental methods (e.g. event-related brain potentials, reaction times, eye-tracking) and populations (e.g. child L2 learners, adult L2 learners, different L1 groups).In talks and panel discussions, this symposium aims at a systematic discussion of which factors (e.g. L1, proficiency, age, cognitive limitations, etc.) guide L2 development and which factors limit the attainment of native-like grammatical representations and processing competence.
